Hodgson to sample Yamaha in December

Neil Hodgson will make his first appearance in Motorpoint Yamaha colours next month when he and Dan Linfoot test the R1 at Almeria in Spain
Rob Mac Racing has confirmed it will begin its preparations for the 2010 British Superbike season with a three day test in Spain next month.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that former British and World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson would return to the series with the Rob McElnea-run squad next season, both he and Dan Linfoot will sample the Motorpoint Yamaha at Almeria in December.

An opportunity for both riders to become acquainted with the bike, Hodgson is particularly looking forward to riding the R1 for the first time.

“This test will be great,” he said. “I have had some work done on my injured shoulder and the test will be good pyhsio, as well as help me get a base feel for the bike.

“The intention for us is to get a foundation and sleep on it ready for the next test. We know some of the areas we want to work on with the bikes and we are on the case now.

“I am looking forward to spending a bit of time with the boys and these laid back tests are great for team building. I can't wait.”

Having raced the Node4 Yamaha in the final two rounds of the season last year, Linfoot is also excited to be getting a proper test alongside Hodgson.

“I'm chomping at the bit to get going. I think the boys have learned a lot about the bike since the last time I rode it and I can't wait to get to try it. Having Neil around will be invaluable and a chance to get on track with him this early is just what I need.”

Well Andy C,

It looks as though you are going to be continually disapointed because Walkers days have gone. And did so quite some time ago. :)
