Glen Richards returns to BSS

Glen Richards, Billy McConnell and Luke Mossey sign for the Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Team.
Reigning British Superbike Evo champion Glen Richards will return to the British Supersport Championship in 2012 after signing to join Billy McConnell and Luke Mossey at the Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Team.

38-year-old Australian Richards will also be reunited with Triumph 675 machinery, with which he claimed the 2008 BSS title while riding for the MAP Embassy team.

"This year we are serious about winning the title for both ourselves and Triumph and in signing Glen, Billy and Luke, I believe we have the strongest line-up out there,” said team owner Alan Smith.

The team will also be represented by Johnny Blackshaw in the Superstock 600 Championship.

“Johnny has the capability to challenge for the Superstock 600 crown too and with the Triumph 675 Daytona at our disposal, we are very confident going into the 2012 season,” said Smith.
