Tyco Suzuki's Alastair Seeley and Josh Brookes have signalled their intentions for this afternoon's qualifying session at Thruxton after pacing the third and final free practice session of the weekend.

Held on a damp circuit, Seeley's best time of 1min 22.742secs was around six seconds off Ian Lowry's pace setting time from Friday, though it remains to be seen whether the rain will return for qualifying this afternoon.

Brookes, who claimed pole position for the Brands Hatch opener in similarly slippery conditions, was less than a tenth slower than his team-mate, while Gary Mason – one of the standouts from last weekend's treacherous meeting – was third best on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki.

ZX-10R counterpart Shane Byrne assumed fourth place on the Rapid Solicitors machine, ahead of WFR Honda's James Westmoreland and Alex Polita, the Italian hauling his Jentin Doodson Ducati 1199 Panigale well inside the top ten from an overnight position of just 28th.

Behind him, reigning champion Tommy Hill continued his fairly muted weekend in seventh place on the Swan Yamaha, while Alex Lowes, Brands Hatch race winner Jon Kirkham and FP2 front runner Lowry completed the top ten positions.
