GBmoto duo boosted by progress at Knockhill
28 June 2012
GBmoto Racing's Tristan Palmer and Luke Quigley have been buoyed by their best performances of the season in the MCE British Superbike Championship at Knockhill.
Both riders scored points in each race, with Palmer taking 13th in race one and 12th in the second outing, while Quigley was 14th and 15th.
Palmer said: “The weekend was a lot better and we're definitely moving forward with the bike. It was good to be battling with some proper lads on factory bikes.
“Even though Knockhill is a circuit I like, there have been other circuits I've liked that I've struggled at this year, so it shows we are improving the bike.
“While top tens at Oulton Park next round would be nice, the focus now is to keep scoring points in every race.”
His team-mate Quigley is also feeling optimistic ahead of the sixth round of the championship at Oulton Park.
“I'm really happy with two points scoring results at Knockhill. I think the team have moved forward some more, so I hope we can keep it up for Oulton Park.
“We've been plugging away at the settings, and there's more to come,” said Quigley.
“I'm ready to push on to the top ten now, although I will still need a bit of luck.”
