Shane Byrne takes his good form back to the scene of his first British Superbike Kawasaki victory at Oulton Park.
In-form Byrne poised to tackle Hill
Shane Byrne is well placed to move into the lead of the MCE British Superbike Championship should he maintain his current run of top form at this weekend's Oulton Park triple header.

Byrne has finished no lower than second in five of the last six races, with technical issues at Snetterton proving the only blot on his copybook. It is form that has brought him to within six points of leader Tommy Hill in the standings, while he is just two points behind in terms of podium credits too.

Fresh from an enjoyable weekend competing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Byrne is now keen to maintain his form around the circuit that yielded his and Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki's first win of the season two months ago.

"After a real fun weekend with the team at Goodwood where I got the opportunity of a lifetime to ride my hero Kevin Schwantz's bike, it's back to the serious business at Oulton Park.

“The team has been working hard and so have I as we know everyone always goes faster on the second visit of the year. I'm feeling on top of my game and hopefully, we can pull off three good results as it's important to rack the podium credits up from now on."
