A message from Racesafe marshal Ian Sinclair, who needs help with his fundraising plans
Can you help?
'Hi,

'My name is Ian Sinclair. I'm a marshal for Racesafe and on the 30th of September I will be leaving Silverstone - after the 2nd BSB race - and travelling 2800 miles, taking in 17 UK circuits before arriving at Brands Hatch on the 13th of October.

'This is to raise money for the CJ Riders Fund. The total money raised so far for this is in excess of £1,000.

'The reason for me contacting you is I was promised £500 by a team in the BSB paddock to cover the cost of fuel, but I have just been told they will no longer be able to do this. Would Crash.net help by advertising this, as I'm now running out of ideas.

'I would be very grateful if you could do this.

'Regards,

'Ian.'

If you can help Ian, please contact him by phone on 07539524863 or email ianwhufc@live.co.uk

I'm all for a bit of fund raising especially for good causes but, I don't get it. Asking for sponsorship money for something fun or challenging is the norm. Driving 2800 miles in 14 days? wheres the challenge in today's climate controlled and power steering equipped cars?
Is he offering some sort of training at the circuits or just giving his time up to drive around while someone else fuels the motor? Ask the racers. Or better still Palmer for fuel money.
Sorry to sound a grumpy old b#####d and good luck.
