BSB Oulton Park: Farmer unhappy with results

8 May 2013

Northern Ireland's Keith Farmer concedes that he may have to be more 'patient' is his efforts to challenge for the leading positions in the MCE British Superbike Championship.

The Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki rider, who is in his first full season in the series, was left frustrated after crashing out on the first lap of race one after qualifying in fourth.

Farmer, the reigning National Superstock 1000 champion, finished eighth in the second race but the former Irish Supermoto champion wasn't happy with his performance.

“It's been a frustrating weekend for me, particularly after qualifying on the front row and while I feel comfortable following 'Shakey' and other riders, when I'm riding on my own, it's a bit of a struggle to do the lap times,” he said.

“The first race crash was disappointing but I managed to salvage an eighth in the second race but it's not where I want to be finishing.

“I have to keep reminding myself it's only my third full season of road racing and I've got to be patient.”
