Airwaves Ducati's Leon Haslam beat HM Plant Honda's Johnny Rea by just 0.003secs to take the top spot during second free practice at
Oulton Park for round four of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Behind the dueling pair was Shane Byrne on the Stobart Honda who was closely followed by Gregorio Lavilla in fourth place.
Ryuichi Kiyonari led the next batch of riders over the line in fifth place, followed by the consistent Tom Sykes in sixth place. Tommy Hill on the Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha was seventh just ahead of Karl Harris on the Hydrex Suzuki. Last year at Oulton Park, Harris almost had the race win but was out dragged over the line by Lavilla.
Cal Crutchlow once again was the only Rizla in the top ten running in ninth with Leon Camier on the Bike Animal Honda in tenth. Chris Walker on the second Rizla bike was just outside the top ten running in eleventh place.
During free practice one, Crutchlow suffered a brake problem and Walker suffered a clutch concern during their first lap out, this left both riders on their number two machines.
