Bridewell family says thanks

Ollie Bridewell's tragic accident at Mallory Park on Friday provoked an out-pouring of emotion from those close to the British Superbike series and fans around the world, touching his family.

As a result, Ollie's parents Marcus and Liz, brother Tommy and sister Charlotte have all expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the messages and tributes that they have received to date. The family also thanked the MCRCB medical and event staff, in particular Toby Branfoot, the marshals, officials and everyone at Team NB for their efforts and kindness during the aftermath of the accident.

Funeral details have yet to be finalised, but it is expected that it will take place on Wednesday 1 August. Further details regarding a time and location will be provided in due course. The Bridewells have requested that there are family flowers at the service, with donations being made to a suitable charity in lieu of other tributes. Again, details of which charity the family would like to support will be advised in due course.

Anyone wishing to send messages of condolence and/or cards can do so to Wayside Garage, Etchilhampton, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 3JT.
