BritGT » Alonso: Ferrari can be in hunt with this strategy

Fernando Alonso: The strategy we used today was dictated by looking at our average qualifying performance, given that pole is not yet within our grasp and the two scenarios were either starting fifth or sixth on the Soft tyres or start sixth or seventh on the Mediums.

I agree with you fastisheye! Another important thing is to clear the Lotus duo without loosing much time. Probably they(Lotus) will run longer on the first stint than the Bulls and Hammy! So the prancing horses must be in front of them after the leading trio made their first pit stop.

More so than the Lotus I reckon it will be important clearing Ricciardo... the Toro Rosso has show a good top speed and that will make it harder for them to overtake him. The kid is no slouch either and will defend its position hard, especially knowing that RBR will keep an eye on that fight and that he has a shot at Webber's seat next year.

its the perfect track for making up places in the first corner. Outbrake your opponents in the first corner (hairpin) hug the inside line for turn 2 and start squeezing. Could be interesting because allot of drivers will have that plan, but if manages it hes got a good shot not having to pit and come back in traffic
