Piranha to enter GT4 Lotus

The British GT grid is to be bolstered by a new GT4 entry at Brands Hatch after Piranha Motorsport announced an entry with the Lotus 2-11.

The lightweight sportscar joins the ranks to take on the Ginetta G50 and KTM X-Bow at the final round of the season ahead of an appearance at the Dubai 24 Hour race in January.

The car will be driven by Caterham and Speed Series race winner Chris Bialan and former Rockingham instructor Simon Mason.

"We are convinced that we can take the fight to the other cars and prove the Lotus 2-11 is a true successor to the great Lotus road and sports car racers of the past," says Mason.

"Our plan is to demonstrate the versatility of the team and the Lotus 2-11, and our ability to adapt to different race strategies, tyres and set-up approaches," adds Mason.
