Tommy Hill. As good as any rider in the UK, including Rea, Crutchlow, Camier, Jones (RIP) - Fact. Please keep your uninformed opinions to yourselves. Informed opinions more than welcome. Please support how you know your opinion is accurate. Now he has a decent team behind him, watch him excell. Maybe not immediately because I'm sure his confidence is a bit shot from those Italian muppets, but 3 or 4 races into the season and Camier won't be dominating as easily. Mark my words.

OK. Fact - really means in my well informed opinion. Seriously though, Tommy is an immensly talented guy who has incredibly bad jusgement in choosing the teams he rides for. He's so keen to participate that he doesn't look past the machine (bad mistake). People are 80% of the equation, the machine 20% especially in production bike racing. Tommy's matched any of the afore mentioned riders at sometime in his career. He's just not made the most of his talent (which is part of success I guess) but I'm sure he'll get the best support from Cresent. They appear to know what they're doing. Come on Tommy- prove me right please.

Bit early to be posting i told you so messages. Is only first practive after all.

If you read the post it said Tommy had ridden the bike at Mallory on Wed. I doubt he'll be leading when the others have had more track time. I'd like him to prove me wrong because i think Tommy's a decent rider in need of a break (Of the fortunate kind!) Might be worth waiting till Sunday evening before saying these sort of comments!

I haven't been the biggest Hill fan but I must say that this is impressive. It's only practice, yes, but this is what he needs to build his confidence and reputation after a disasterous time in WSBK. Good for him.

Leading first free practice doesn't mean a thing. I wish him all the best, but all too often Hill being back with a "bang" means he's hit the tarmac very hard. If he can get that under control then he might be a serious contender.

As for Brogan, I really would like to see him doing well too. His superstock rides have been very impressive and I would really like to see if he has what it takes to run at the front in superbikes.
