I for one hope SMT manage to get the funding they need and keep Michael Rutter on the bike. The championship would be a worse place without him and it would be great for him to get a podium on an underdog bike to prove to the world he's still got what it takes.

I could almost hear Rutter laughing when he overtook Tommy Hill in Race 2! I'm sure the Worx team didn't like that one bit.

I think we all saw a glimpse of the old Michael Rutter last Sunday.

Good for him and SMT Honda!!!

OH PLEASE!!!!! Sure it was SMTs best result of the season and good luck to them for it....but it was a result based on a lot of other riders misfortune. Yes racing is racing and results are results but if you add all of those unfortunate riders back into the mix the best result Smt and Rutter could have hoped for is 10th. Same with the second race...there were a lot of top riders out of that one too. And after all it is Rutters home track is it not. I havent noticed any other teams that finished way above their best at Mallory bragging about how well they did. The results on the weekend are a sham, rules are rules yes but i would hardly brag about it. Poor form I think.

However the results came SMT's way, they were much appreciated and hopefully they will help to bring in some much needed sponsorship to help the team through the remainder of the season. SMT have come a long way in a relatively short space of time and if Michael Rutter riding for them helps the cause then good luck to him and the team.
