The 'Airwaves' sponsorship deal has been previously cited by Colin Wright as the reason why, in the last few years, that they have not progressed to WSB, stating that 'Wrigleys Airwaves' do not have a competitive overseas market. Hopefully now with a more suitable backer, this hurdle has been removed and we will see GSE competing once more,(with Leon) in WSB in 2010!

featherz - It might happen if Yamaha Italia withdraw from WSB - there has been a rumour that Yamaha are withdrawing at the end of this season to save costs / concentrate on MotoGP and the Yamaha presence in WSB will be either Stiggy or (less likely) GSE.

Phil - What you have just said is also a rumour! Michael Guy reported that Yamaha will make a decision during August. Yamaha Europe boss Laurens Klein Koerkamp has already confirmed that Yamaha will field a 2 rider team in WSB in 2010, but the Yamaha racing boss Masao Furusawa has said "The ideal situation for me would be to stop racing in World Superbikes."

Spies will not stay in WSB next year because, due to his pace this year, he is going to be gender tested at the end of the season. And Camier will not go to WSB as he will replace Lorenzo at Fiat Yamaha. I don't think it will be a good move for Lorenzo to go back to Spanish 125s, but what Chuppa Chups want, Chuppa Chups get.

The big scoop I heard is that Honda, fearing Pedrosa is too small for MotoGP, are going to be trying cutting edge growth spurt drugs on him. Tady Okada, the new HRC Head of Pharmaceuticals was quoted as saying "Dani may not be as fast or interesting as Rossi, but he will finally be taller".

Not rumour, fact.
