It would be nice to see a smaller Team become competitive in the main championship, without all the fancy hospitality etc. Is big hospitality really needed in the BSB paddock ? put the cash into the bikes first I say !

How i agree with the above!
Too much hospitality, massive marquees, hangers-on, all bullsh*t.
Look what Quay Garage have achieved with very little budget and a good rider, who rarely crashes.
It seems the actual racing seems to take second place for many teams.
Be nice to know the budgets of Airwaves and Rob Macs teams.

Huge congratulations to Gary and all the team at Quay Garage for winning the title.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys and here's hoping they get the budget to have a real crack at the main title next year. :)

Well done to the Quay Garage team. Difference between Cup teams and the so called "factory" backed teams can be best measured in terms of funding and in terms of support. Quay Garage run on c£60k-£70k per season whereas a team such as Airwaves will run on at least 15-20 times that amount. Quay Garage have 3 personnel in the garage, including team owner who can be seen preparing the machines. These guys will all have to be at a job on Monday morning after a race. "Factory" team personnel are employed by the team on a full time basis. In addition a factory team will be constantly developing and testing. Cup competitors are limited on testing and wont have funding to develop their machines.

Well done Gary.I hope this team can raise a decent budget to compete on an even footing next year as the whole package obviously works.I said at the start of the season that HM Plant should have given Gary Joshs ride until the visa issue was sorted but i'm glad they didn't as that ride has been a poisoned chalice, while Gary has won many new fans as the underdog done good. He's also a bloody nice bloke to boot.

I may be the only person in the US that cares about BSB, but everyone else is missing out!
If someone doesn't give Mason a factory ride next year, they're all fools. Gary has done an incredible job on a two-year old CBR1000RR, and he's also a nice guy. Give him a chance on a proper bike already!
