Michael Laverty has British Superbike Championship glory in his sights this year, after agreeing terms to rejoin a team that he affirms really 'stepped up a notch' in 2009 - Relentless Suzuki

Great news for Michael Laverty. Fantastic rider and all round good guy. Felt sorry for him last year without a decent bike to race. Shame for Lowry though, didn't deserve to lose his ride after such a brilliant debut season. Hope someone gives the lad some machinery for 2010.

Oh, i am gutted for the lad. Must've been a tough decision for the boss. He did ride superbly well for a rookie in BSB. Seems to be very unlucky not to stay with the team.

Good luck Michael for 2010, Lowry give Hydrex Honda a call!

An Italian site whose url I can't paste in here today (Google search - News) reports that indeed Ian Lowry is close to signing with Hydrex apparently.

I guess it's a toss-up between Lowry or James Ellison if GSE are out, unless Ellison fancies WSS?

Hope Lowry gets a ride..Can't see he did much wrong last year..Phillip Neil said he wanted a proven superbike race winner as a No1 rider??..Considering how close the 2 were in supersports and the fact Lowry's had a season on the superbike I not so sure if this is a forward step..Lowry, Laverty and Seeley all ran similar times when they tested in Ireland though..Seeley has got a winning knack but next year will be to soon for him..Personally I'd have stuck with Lowry rather than Laverty..But how nice to see another all British garage..

Great little team they've set up here and they won't be far away next year i hope. Very likeable set up as well, i'll be wearing my relentless apparel in the crowds at bsb next season!

Well done Michael, and well done Philip Neill as in my opinion it is the right choice. Michael is bringing a wealth of experience back to the team with the knowledge and ability to overcome development problems which Lowry struggled badly with. Lowry achieved enough last year to get a good seat somewhere.

some people say laverty ?? is as talented as j rea ,but kinda lost his way a bit ,a chance to redeem himself perhaps???? seeley will keep him honest ,lowery is a real talent also ?and could go well with the hydrex team, hes a natural s/bike rider, going to be an interesting year in bsb, lets have a few predictions lads, which one of these irish boys is going to come out on top???

Seeley is a winner..He will win on the bike next year but I think it'll be at the Northwest200..I expect him to be strong though..Lowry has had a year in Superbike and I think he has the edge on Seeley with experience..Laverty is on a par with Lowry he's had a year out though..Anybodies guess..My prediction watch out for Seeley in the second half of the season..But points tally's for the season over all Laverty, Lowry then Seeley..Think the Suzuki will be kick ass next year too..Title between Easton and Hill..Another prediction Hodgson will be nowhere next year on the best bike..Sad but true..
