BSB » Lowry set to join Easton at Hydrex Honda?

There might no longer be any room at the inn at his 2009 employer Relentless Suzuki, but Ian Lowry appears to be closing in on a deal to partner Stuart Easton at Hydrex Honda in the 2010 British Superbike Championship...

I don't want to do James Ellison down because he's a smashing lad,but i think with Stuart riding the crest of a wave and part of the Hydrex furniture,he would be in the same position as 2009.Whereas Ian is obviously a rider on the up and would keep Stuart honest. The grid for 2010's shaping up nicely with all the cream rising to the top.

I think Lowry is a future champion too. But many times 'Ellison' has ''risen to the top'' and Won Championships only for his career to be blown into the wind again. Many riders from last year went into WSBK . Most progress that way, but to be runner up and 'nothing' beggers belief. But congratulations to Lowry I think he willbe a formidable opponent.

Good rider and Hydrex are a good team. They seemed to have really come on in the last couple of years.
Would have liked to see Lowry get another ride with TAS and for Ellison not to be fixed up for 2010 is strange, to say the least.

It's looking good for Hydrex. I agree the last few years have been impressive with Ellison originally and Eastons outstanding run this year. Harris had good results for them occassionally, so did Tommy Hill.

Teams on the up big time. They basically took over as no.1 Honda last year but it'll be tough to match that this year against the returning Kiyo and a seasoned Josh Brooks!

Muir's got a choice between Ellison & Lowry then he can't go wrong either way in my opinion. Both would do a great job although Easton will be a tough t/mate to beat for any1 the way he's riding.

BSB grid looks fantastic for 2010. Should be the best season ever. So many potential race winners its mouthwatering.

Hydrex will be an awesome team if this is true, I reckon they and Worx Suzuki will be the top teams this year. No way of knowing how good the HM Plant bike will be or where Kiyo's head is at, given how much of a confidence rider he is.

Easton's lightning starts should translate into a good few race wins, especially now that it looks like there'll be no GSE bikes. I also heard a suggestion that the departure of Guy Martin means that Easton will run at the NW200 as well.

Last on the runour mill, I also heard James Ellison is favourite for Cal Crutchlow's Supersport ride assuming that Yamaha do decide to defend their title. I expect they will now they've got a title sponsor.

Im not sure who will be on the Hydrex Honda, because of all the rumors, but I believe if Ellison would have stayed with them in 2009,he would of been on the top step a whole lot more than he was with the Yamaha!!! So as an Ellison fan I hope to see him back on it again, but I also hope Lowry finds his way on a good team as well,he is also a great rider and needs to be on the grid :)

If Ellison goes to Yamaha he is mad. The reason being He cant ride the Yamaha BUT HE CAN RIDE THE HONDA.
Good luck to Ian Lowry as he deserve to get a decent ride after his performance last year which was not really commented on much, on BSB
