Good luck to him! He's got a lot to live up to. I wonder why he's racing here and not in Spain? I thought Spanish 125's were the best route to the world stage. Wasn't that the way Bradley did it? and Dakota is already a race winner in Spain. Maybe I'm under-estimating the British 125's. Anyone know if Randy is on Eurosport this motogp season?

And the bonus is that Randy will be kicking around the paddock!

It is a puzzle why they're not racing in Spain tho'.....its always been the home of the smaller classes + the Mamola family live there... :?

Maybe they prefer the UK weather?

Hope he does not turn out to be a big a muppet as his auld fellow. Remember the days when Mamola stopped Suzuki from signing Grame Crosby. He could not handle a super fast New Zealander on the same team. Those of you to young to remember who Grame Crosby was, watch the seventies and eighties videos of him road racing in the UGP and Isle of Man on the sit up and beg Kawasaki. Awesome. Look up Grame Crosby in youtube. Mamola: the biggest mouth without a grand prix title :)Crosby got pissed off with the grand prix scene and headed back to New Zealand, depriving us of a super hard racer

Unfazed,

So........ what you're saying is that Crosby was a cry baby and a quiter? :-o

Just looked up Graeme Crosby on Wikipedia. According to them he was racing for Agostini Yamaha when he threw his hissy fit. I'm not sure what Unfazed is going on about. Maybe it was Kenny Roberts and not Randy that Coz had a problem with? Can someone fill me in?

I think that part of the reason for this KRP UK 125 ride is the fact that Randy Mamola is Bradley Smiths manager. So it's a case of keeping it in the family both figuratively and literally.

I seem to recall Croz being very fast... with his mouth. He did at least cause one upset in GPs though, 1981 Stowe corner on the first lap! Bet he's still on Jack middleburgs xmas list. :)
