I like Hodgson and I used to rate him highly but he's suffered a lot of injury and is coming back a bit of an unknown quantity.

Last year Rob Mac gave the impression of being unable or unwilling either to invest in serious development of even listen to his riders. ('Tho in fairness it was probably not so black & white behiond the scenes). At least they seem to be addressing the first of those points.

Beyond that the most I'd conceed for now is that the jury could be out. I wish 'em luck but I'm not convinced yet.

Agreed, you don't win a BSB and WSB championship by being rubbish. Not sure this is the right team for him,i think he's going to find it tough. Not sure he will fare any better than the Stalker last year. Hope i'm wrong though.

It'll be interesting to see how the R1 performs this year.
Last year it won WSBK and BSB, plus the R6 took WSS and M1 took Moto GP. 2009 was the year of the tuning fork!
(Speaking of tuning forks, who's that rider who plays pianos? He should ride a Yamaha.. that'd make sense)

This year isn't looking so rosey, so it'd be good if the WSBK and BSB teams could exchange a bit of data for the common good.

Worrying thing for me is Hodgson is saying "it feels like my bike" yet Linfoot is a second a lap faster..Marry that to Hodgson knows the track and Linfoot doesn't and it seems to me he maybe off the pace already just against his teamate..Linfoot is also coming back from the injury he had in supersports..Lets hope Hodgson is "playing possum" and putting some serious work into set up..Otherwise like others here I fear the worst for him..

Last year Yamaha Italia were sharing parts and data with GSE which is why they were so far ahead of the Motorpoint boys, GSE weren't giving anything back because they didn't have anything to give seeing as Spies was doing so well. This year it would seem that Yamaha Italia (or Sterilgarda if you prefer) could do with some data sharing going both ways. Given how cruddy the Motorpoint lot were last year and the lack of investment in improving i would be surprised if it were any different this year.
Finger's x'd my assumptions are wrong as the more up the front the better

@ mike hunt

It would certainly make sense for Yamaha to provide Motorpoint with good kit, as without GSE they are now really Yamaha's show piece in BSB and won't want to be severely embarassed by Honda, Kawasaki etc

With them having last years GSE bikes I presume they will have last years data 2, if so there is no excuses. last year they didnt have the kit to run up front now they have last years bikes that whitewashed the championship and a ex champ. You have to think these are going to come out fighting.
