BSB » Camier uncertain over BSB rule changes

Last year's record-breaking title winner believes the changes are good for fans, but not so good for the riders

Good on Camier for speaking out.

Its telling that he voices so many of the concerns people here have picked up on.

And never mind the tag line & detail showing 'it would not have made any difference to Camier winning last season'. As the man himself says: There's now potential for someone to go into the end series with more wins than the rest of the field's combined total, something unfortunate happens ... maybe they're punted off by someone and injured or whatever .. and the show's over.

It would be a horrible thing to happen.
But I almost wish it would to put into real visibility the stupidity of the new rules.

And if it did who would really be the champion?

i think that regardless of rule changes, this season would have been close anyway. camier won so convincingly last year, but i didn't lose interest in the championship. in the latter rounds ellison got better as did easton and brookes. this really is a case of 'if it isn't broken'.

Crash I am now getting bored of this stuff. There was a BSB test yesterday that you seemed to ignore which is twice as interesting as the constant who wants to talk about the points next.

Brands Hatch is on Easter weekend btw, not the middle of the week after!

Under this system there will be no point in anyone who is comfortably top 6 in the series pushing for wins in the 1st 9 races, I know this is only one flaw in the plan but I don't think I want to see a racing series where there is a reduced point in winning?

I agree Mr. Wakibakki :p thats been my point for a while... i'll be at cadwell in august hopefully and we all know its a dangerous circuit anyway - none of the top 6 will push to win if their place is secure and risk getting injured before the shootout... potential for a real bummer of a season....

I don't really care anymore either. If BSB ruins their championship with a piss-poor scoring system, the AMA will be the ultimate benefactor.

More power to you MSVR, the AMA needs you.

So there you have it Mr Palmer, as we all suspected the riders can see the BSB championship being discredited by your idiotic farce of a season, and how long after that will it take the sponsors and fans to realise that the best domestic championship in the World that has put seven brits into WSBK this year will lose all it's credability. Well don't say you weren't warned !!!!!!!! I just feel sorry for all the riders who will put in so much and receive so little back............... Good luck to you all .....

Here, here Steve..
No incentive to push on in the early rounds for some.. Potential champions could lose out if they push to hard in the later rounds coz there's no time to recover from falls/breakdowns.. Does all this sound familiar?? Thought so!! Come on crash.net..We've done this to death!! Best man over the season should win the title.. Not best over three meetings shouldn't..IMHO

Dont know about anybody else but I watch bsb 2 watch close racing, the championship is for the rider who is consistantly at the top at all the tracks. Why would a rider race hard and risk falling at the begining of the season when it wont effect the championship, IMO the races wont be that good at the beggining and at the end some riders are going to get badly hurt with do or die overtakes.
