OK good this doesn't really tell us much, big spread of times as you might expect.

Oh yes what ever was slowing Tommy Hll in fp1 & fp2 seems not to be stopping him in the wet? He can push hard enough in damp conditions to be as fast as Brookesy, wonder what the problem was earlier? Anyone at the track got an insight for me.

Hoping for some good safe racing. It will be interesting to see how Josh Brookes goes & if he can pull back some points in the c'ship.
It will be interesting to follow Andrew Pitt's results to.

Ryuichi Kiyonari probable could not see any piont in pushing too hard in damp conditions, is my guess, going by scant info here at crash.

It is easy to see how a rider might say the risks are to high so I don't want to push too hard in the wet in practice, too much to loose, to little to gain. Maybe try a bit harder in qualifying, Some riders save the fastest laps for the race. Depends on how the rider feels on the bike how the tyres are working and the feedback they give to the rider...

re Kiyos time, he only bothered to do two laps and he's no rain specialist at the best of times. looks like around a third of the field had a lie in as they never went on track at all.

Not that he's a bad rider or anything (he was second only to Gary Mason in the BSB cup last year), but Peter Hickman 4th on what's more or less a stock Yamaha suggests that most people were taking things easy.

The new one bike rule this season has meant that there is absolutely nothing to gain from trying to be the fastest in damp conditions with the threat of obviously lobbing the thing up the road is my guess
