Think about this: a rider exiting the regular season with a 150+ points cushion would lose the title if he gets seriously injured during practice on the first Showdown event: ain't that ridiculous ?

This will draw in a lot of disagrees but I like the new system.. the next few races are going to be frantic wheras with the old rules someone could have won the series already making the last races uninteresting.
I know it would have been a close season anyway, the organisers weren't to know and its even closer now there are 6 riders in with a shout.

Good job Tommy, yesterday was awesome, can't wait for Silverstone. :)

count me among those who hate the new system. Depsite what some people are saying this new system doesn't make the racing better, simply adds fake media created hype/drama like a bad reality tv show.

If the racing is bad no amount of hype, shootout or not is going to change that. But if the racing is good you don't need crap like this. Because to me even if one person is running away with a championship, if the racing is good while that is happening I can enjoy it. you the races, you read about championships. F1 is too make "fake" excitment in that people there make up things to get excited about regardless of the fact that the on track action is boring.

If don't care that there are 4 or 5 guys "battling" for a F1 title, when all you see on track is a parade. I don't understand who thought this stupid system is a good idea or was needed. It sucks because the reality of it is someone could luck into a title simply because they had a few good races in the end.

If they are going to discount most of the season why even bother running a full schedule and just a shoot out and save everyone some cash. stupid idiots

Tommy HILL (Suzuki) 332
Ryuichi KIYONARI (Honda) 299
Josh BROOKES (Honda) 292
Michael LAVERTY (Suzuki) 277
Michael RUTTER (Ducati) 250
Alastair SEELEY (Suzuki) 169
Stuart EASTON (Honda) 160
John LAVERTY (Kawasaki) 158
James ELLISON (Honda) 131

The real top ten looks a little different, and Michael Laverty saying he's now putting in his A game having been riding for top 6 so far this season about sums up this stupid shoot out rubbish.
