We're running the proper scoring system so ours will be the true champion!
Be interesting to see if the contrived championship coincides....if so what was 'the point'!
Given his form at Silverstone its a shame James Ellison can't make up the 300 odd points he needs to get into the top 5.........Swan Honda must be dead chuffed!

Agreed pp916, i'm counting what the old system would have had at the end of the season and if it doesn't tally up we should club together to buy a cheap trophy for "our" winner lol. You seen those BSB trophies....can't say i've ever seen a televised event with such tacky trophies and that champers looks like Aldi wouldn't even stock it....or Lidl for that matter.
Ellison would have been right up there this year if it hadn't of been for his nasty accident, also gobsmacked that his team mate hasn't got it together this year, he showed a huge amount of promise the previous year but again i think injuries got in the way at season start

I wish they would scrap this Showdown business, however much i like Rutter and Michael Laverty i feel that if one of them wins the championship its alittle bit harsh on Hill, Brookes or Kiyo, by looking at the comment above those 3 have been by far the beat thi season and won loads more races the Rutter and Laverty and have been more consistent.

Id say Hill or Brookes are the most deserving they have looked consistently strong all year. I wouldnt mind if Rutter wins it just cause he seems like a really decent guy and it'd be a nice way to end his uber long career ! I can understand they dont want a breakaway like Camier last year with the title decided really early but other than some trick adverts on eurosport it hasnt really done much. How is it supposed to inspire the other guys outside the top six cause if they ride hard for a win and knock off a showdown rider can you imagine the fallout, and as weve seen the new system can preclude some of the talent (See James Ellison) that most definately should be in with title shots.
