BSB » Tinmouth makes history as first lady of BSB

The TT's female record-holder Jenny Tinmouth is no stranger to breaking down boundaries, but in 2011 she will achieve her finest breakthrough yet - by becoming the first woman ever to compete in the British Superbike Championship with Splitlath Motorsport

many congratulations jenny, on achieving your ambition. i actually think you climbed motorcyclings "mount everest" when you almost got a 120 mph lap at the TT, just a ciggie paper short! i look forward to seeing you go for it on the "big stage" when you return "home" to oulton in may... all the very best of luck...... and show em some northern "true grit"....

I've seen her race a few times.

Its stupid to say 'Its jst because she's a pretty girl'.

Yeah, arguably there are male riders who might be better than she is who are not getting a crack at BSB.
But I've seen a lot more who *aren't* as good as she is who have had the chance given to 'em.

I think we can look forward to some solid mid-pack results. And let's keep it real, a Podium in year one with the talent out there would be optimistic for any new entrant.

So, how about we let her results decide the issue?

If you think that Mike Edwards video of her prooves anything you dont know what your looking at, considering how many laps that shes done there.

See if Mike "the legend" adwards lol, could follow HK around.

By saying look how talented she is, is just subliminal way to boost his own "legend" lol lol thing and sell more instruction. If she was talented how is he following her.

It's a real shame that Jenny has not been given the chance to prove herself before everybody has started slagging her off. She always puts 100% in to her racing and has always said that she wants to be up at the front with the lads. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean she shouldn't be given a chance like any other male racer. Jenny obviously has the bottle, otherwise she wouldn't have done the TT. Good luck to you Jenny and I hope you can prove this moaning lot wrong.

@ dazzer i think most people will be saying the same as you . I don't believe some of the views expressed on here. The first page of comments were very encouraging and sporting but then the Anti Brigade started to creep in. I say well done Jenny you absolutely deserve it.And i admire the people backing you for having the foresight to put some faith in your potential.I am not saying you will go out and ride rings round everyone but when i saw you racing there were a lot of guys behind you that couldn't do better. That tells me you have potential to put in some good performances.By the way the people who are so much against her you all have Mothers and possibly Daughters , Sisters etc your remarks are an insult to them as well .

Don't matter who Jenny Tinmouth is, what sex she is or how much talent she has.
At the end of the day Splitlath pay the bills so its their money and their choice.
Some peoples comments on here are sickening.
Like the wiser posters I have to agree she won't pull up any trees.
That's not an opinion based on sex it's an opinion based on talent..

@ Locks 46 etc

You missed jealous and pig ignorant.

I get a real strong sense what most of the 'she's not good enough' brigade really don't like is she's female and a *lot* faster than most blokes.

Small **** / fragile ego syndrome maybe?
