He certainly was in the past - not sure if he still is now though.

He will have to improve his starts and qualifying to do well this year - there are a lot of good bikes and riders - hopefully he will put together a better season than the last two.

I don't watch BSB too much, especially because of almost non-existant available broadcast outside of UK so I don't know if Shakey was really 'not good enough' for WSBK or if he had just a bad luck. It would be interesting to see him in some competitive team still this year in WSBK but otherwise I suppose it's better for anyone to be at the sharp end in BSB than to be rather average in WSBK.

BSB will be a better place with byrne in it. The honda is a good package and shakey will add to the mix. He is as good as any other rider in that championship at present and will be at the sharp end no problems. You can't rule him out for the title.

Especially as the 'Blade is likely to have better launch control than his last season's Ducati yzfstu.

Shakey was often fast last year but too often he was fighting uphill after starts that didn't do him many favours.

And OK sometimes qualifying was a bit of a lottery too.
But once he got going in the race....

Yeah. I reckon WSB's loss is BSB's gain in this case.

It's a learning curve he's on for sure.. If he can adapt quickly enough to the Blade then there's no reason he can't make the top six.. By then he'd have as much chance as anyone of the shootout.. Mmmmmmm..
