crap circuits:

Do you mean entertaining cuircuits full of character by any chance! I can only think of a handfull of tracks id rather ride on than Cadwell, brands, Oulton, thruxton.

Go and ride the british tracks I bet you wont be bored! I bet he gets his **** spanked by the BSB boys and Girl lol

That motogp ride is a big old target on his back,
anyone that beats him can claim to be able to get a top ten in MOTOGP.

Im sure excuses will soon come out though.

A bad tire, an old injury, they have better electronics, my technician is not so good, the other bikes are better, this is last years model im running, less testing than everyone else etc etc etc.

Gixxer, what a joke of a comment that is..I'd love to know which rider would have the talent to ride a motogp bike half as well as Hopper but to claim anyone that beats him would place top 10 there is sadly giving away your limited knowledge..you obviously know nothing about the guy nor the premier series, since when did he complain as you imply,I think you're thinking of another has been from WSB,someone like JT springs to mind.Save your comments for JT next year when he's back in BSB..Hopper is only 27,ridden EVERYTHING from GP 500cc big bang,screamers..990's, 800's, superbike V twins.fours,v fours and you still say he'll have excuses lol..totally reformed character that he is, his big issues was partying,NEVER needing excuses not to ride a bike.he really does WANT to succeed,if he didn't he'd take non challenging but still good paying rides back home in AMA.
I bet you're also the 'GSXR pub type' that'll insist,'man,I've been quicker than Hopper round there'..comical

Really don't know what some of you tailends have got against Hopkins. Who else in BSB has got as many GP podiums and a 4th in GP championship? Oh yeah, no one.

I've got a sneaking feeling that Hopper will shut you all up, in the same way that Bradley Smith has so far this season, and he'll be up there fighting with Kiyo, Brookes, Easton, Laverty, Byrne etc...

You're spot on there BTW RawDawg. He should get used to Cadwell, Oulton and Knockhill in no time.

Dean Dean,

Lol you missed my point completly, I am not attacking hopper at all, just the Elite view that gets banded about of MotoGP, which in reality is rubbish, certainly the top few riders are great but the snobbery gets on my nerves.

Bysides national Pride over BSB is a good thing as we have the best national championshp in the world period.

To say Hopper is anything other than a class act on a bike - at least when he's not run himself ragged off it anyway - is pretty much an indicator of how much you haven't really understood what's going on.

BUT

Even tho he might actually be the best rider there...
Still doesn't mean he's going to wipe the board in BSB.
Can't help remembering the problems Kiyo had a couple of seasons ago when HRC couldn't get it into their obstinate heads that favourite son or not trying to ride two differently set up bikes (WSB and Suzuka in that case) can cause a rider a LOT of difficulty.

Sh1t that should become instinctive has to be done under conscious control of you risk running the wrong reflex - that's tiring and costs time.

Hope I'm being too pessimistic. We'll see.
