Wow, hopper second fastest! Hope you stay healthy this year. It will be fun having somebody to cheer for in that championship. Lord knows BSB has to be light years ahead of the AMA fiasco we are stuck with here in the states

I read Hopkins lead most of the session, but Byrne set the fastest lap on his last lap . Hopkins never won an AMA Superbike race in his carrer, but I have no doubt he will win multiple BSB Superbike races. The BSB Superbike grids are deeper then, the AMA Superbike grids, but the top riders in AMA Superbike are faster, Josh Hayes, Tommy Hayden,Blake Young are all faster then any BSB Superbike rider .

Good showing for Hopper so far. Brooks and Byrne seem to be very fast as well. Lets wait and see what the rest of the weekend brings.

Is there anywhere online to see the race from the USA?

On what facts are you basing your statement that Hayes, Hayden and Young are better than ALL of the BSB guys. They have never run together on similar equipment.

Blake went to WSB and got his A$$ handed to him. I believe some of the Brits were in the field ahead of him. N'est pas?

Well one could also say that James Ellison got his "A$$ handed to him" and fired in AMA and than ends up 2nd in BSB. Just saying.........

But I would agree that it's just a person's opinion that one rider from another series is faster than someone else in another and no real concrete evidence.

Since Hopper is going from one to the other it would be easy to make him a measuring stick but since he was hurt most of last year in AMA it wouldn't be 100 percent fair if he did well this year in BSB.

Ha ha, Mateo got beaten by a girl! :)

Only messing big respect to all, I was expecting Loris Baz would be a bit nearer the front.

I hope Hopper does well and gets propelled back into the world stage, great rider talent wise - just needs to focus!

Dont know if some AMA riders are quicker but I think BSB is possibly a leveler playing field bike wise, dont know for sure im not an expert on AMA. I think we all want to see close racing and with Byrne Brooks Hill and Hopkins all on form we might just get it. Lot of interest in Hopkins and thats good for the series.

Steve Jackson is right - they should be using the Grand Prix circuit for Superbikes.

Some people are getting over excited about the times - that was day one, they still have Saturday and Sunday with the races on Monday. I'm sure some of the riders / teams will make significant progress with their setups by the time of Monday afternoons races.
