Awesome result for Hopper and Crescent Suzuki. Given that he had never been to Oulton Park before a front row start, 2nd place in Race 1 and a now race win surely he has to be a title contender?

Lets hope his form continues throughout the year and he can give the more established BSB riders something to think about.

Considering Hopper was at the sharp end of MotoGP for some time while on the Suzuki, it shouldn't be that hard for him to tackle BSB. I would EXPECT a rider of his caliber to be winning pretty quickly.

Now his partying days are over, he will without question be right up there from now on. He looked great on the bike, but most off all he looks so bloody happy every session. As for the haters, can't really see why anyone doesn't like hopkins, doesnt moan about anything and just gets on with it. Well done 21

I agree with practically all the comments on this particular thread.People are very quick to knock a guy when he is down but very slow to give him a pat on the back and say well done when he pulls it round. From where John Hopkins was coming from his Moto Gp experience was no guarantee of success.I can remember seeing him hobbling around in WSB when he rode for Stiggy Honda and thinking that guy has a long way to go.Respect to him for having the determination to pull things around and its been great to see him on the podium genuinely happy with what was goimg on.
