Damn good race in tricky conditions. Amazed that not even 1 of the lead group slide out in the wet.

Nice scrap by Rutter and Byrne on the last lap. Rutter used all the experience that he had on that one.

I don't know who Hickman is but I was hoping he would bag himself a podium - he rode well in that race.

i think shakey has shut a lot of people up this season and has definitely shown that he should still be in wsbk

Shame I had to watch it on a low quality stream since Eurosport 2 decided to broadcast tennis the ENTIRE day.

But cracking race, seems like a great racetrack. I was kind of hoping Lowes would win it but he seemed to destroy his tyres too early.

Great dice with Rutter and Shakey and what a display from last on the grid too. Hill missed an opportunity to consolidate good points by taking a gamble that didn't pay off, still early in the season Tommy so no need imo to have taken such a risk. Ah well, 2nd race due to start and hoping better for him but Shakey on pole after the first race looks favourite imo.

@Firefly - I watched it on Eurosport 2 without a problem!

Great racing. The support racing was also incredible - the 848 Ducati race was a four way dice with four abreast going into the corner. Even the XR1200's was a cracking race!

Shakey 'should' still be in WSBK no doubt. That mug Xaus simply bought his way onto that Ten-Kate Honda. There were plenty of people that Ten-Kate could have snared to partner Johnny Rea. Haga, Fabrizio (even though I can't stand the n0b), so when it came down to a second rider, how come the clown that has finished 17th and 15th in WSBK for the last 2 years gets a sniff ahead of Byrne who was top 10 for both the years he ran in WSBK ? Friggin money is why.

Shakey deserves another crack in WSBK. End of.
