Shane Byrne seeking wins at the new Snetterton.

Yes. Obviously. That is what the Championship is all about.
If one was not seeking to win, what would be the point.

This is not such a great headline.

I think it should be a good week-end.

It seems to me that Shakey is riding well and confidently enough to take the win where he can get it and settle for a podium where it would be risky. I would say that he's got to be favourite for the title and is Kiyo's worst nightmare as a team mate.

Shakey has proved already that given competitive equipment, he is a class above BSB, and in all honesty should have remained in WSBK - just didn't have the pulling power in terms of ££££££ / $$$$$$.

Providing he maintains his run of form, even if he isn't the outright winner at the end of this year, he should be drafted back into the WSBK paddock on factory equipment for a final roll of the dice...!!

Maybe Melandri will slide back into MotoGP (seeing as he is so far the most competitive and still young enough rider to be relegated). Byrne could maybe then slot in at Yamaha. Either that or Camier slides into Yamaha having won BSB on the same bike, and Shakey gets the Aprilia factory ride.

Who knows. Either way, he deserves one last shot...
