Maybe something to do with noise limits on the GP circuit - it does run right past peoples back garden gates... literally. Although for a double-header rather than a triple header, they'd always have a full GP circuit Free Practice session on a Friday, so don't get that really. Maybe its some sort of compromise due to noise and the fact that there are 3 races, one on Saturday afternoon....

Yes all those people who bought their houses cheaply right next to the circuit where racing has taken place for longer than they have lived there and they want the noise cut down. And in some cases (Castle Combe & Monza) racing stopped entirely so they can make money on the rise in their house prices. Cynical, but true.

@jukka they still race at Monza but the days allowed for racing has been cut down a lot and as I mentioned there are still locals in one of the nearby villages wanting it stopped entirely.
