This is a perfect example of why the "showdown" is unfair! After the next race weekend the best some of these can hope for is seventh!!!!

When will the organisers see sense and get rid of this farce, like the majority of fans want?

I've got to the stage now where all mine and everybody elses frustrations of a potentialy flawed championship count for nowt where Palmer & Co are concerned, so I just don't go anymore. Not sure my one man crusade counts for much, but if everyone who felt the same did the same then maybe things would change. Like we all suspect JP must be praying every night that either Shakey, Hopper or Tommy walks off with the title, as anyone else will make it all look rather silly.
Isn't it funny how real racers like Foggy, Leon Haslam and Leon Camier to name a few think it's all a pile of pants !!!

I will still be watching beause I enjoy bike racing, but for me the winner of the championship will be the one who ends the season with the most points - not the winner of the shootout.

Also, if there is a controversial result such as Kiyo or Rutter winning the shootout, I hope they have the decency to hand the trophy to the rightful winner of the championship - preferably on live TV so that this farce can be abandoned - it makes a mockery of an otherwise good championship.

Rutter would defo hand it over, as he has been most vocal about the fact that it is a pile of pants. I'm convinced that Michael probably believes that MSVR couldn't organise a p*ss up in a Bathams Brewery !!

kiyo looks as though he's been riding just to get into the shootout, i bet he turns the wick up now if he wins the bsb will be tarnished in the eyes of the racing world

Even Kiyonari must surely realise that all the kudos and support he has built for himself by winning 3 titles - the proper way - would be severely impacted if he somehow ended up claiming the title over an immensely popular English rider in Shakey purely by virtue of the nonsense that is the 'shootout'.

The only thing you can be fairly sure of is that no matter who actually ends up getting handed the trophy and is crowned the '2011 BSB Champion', the teams and managers in the BSB and WSBK paddock that were considering coming knocking for 2012, will be knocking at the doors of the likes of Byrne, Hill and Hopkins before anyone else.
If Shakey maintains his points lead to the end, then he is the moral victor as far as a lot of people are concerned.

I really don't know how you see this showdown farce as a fair way of claiming the title Mr. Palmer. Nice to see 2012 is gonna be down to rider skill again, now how about abandoning the showdown to REALLY get BSB back to being the best in the world!
