BSB » Crescent Suzuki update on Hopkins injury

The former MotoGP rider is in the envious position of being able to skip the next BSB round without harming his title aspirations significantly.

Just another example of the sh1te scoring system.. If he misses Cadwell he loses a maximum 9 podium credits.. If he'd of missed Cadwell with a "normal" scoring system he'd miss out on 75 points and his championship would be done.. This isn't a pop at Hopkins it's not his fault.. But Riders coming off.. Being Injured.. Mechanicals.. They're all part of this sport we love.. They all have a bearing on results and championships.. As well as the god given talent of the riders we follow.. I hope he doesn't miss any racing and wish him a full and speedy recovery..

IF the old scoring system was in place, Hopper may have made an appearance to try and score a few points. So with him waiting until he's 100%, it's the fan that lose out really!
(Again, this is nothing personal against Hopper - he's just using the rules to his advantage)

The only ones I can think of are Tommy Hill (in my opinion the unluckiest guy in racing) and Dani 'made of china' Pedrosa who seems to get hurt everytime he comes off.

I can't decide who I want to win BSB this year, Shakey is awesome and would be nice to see him get another title, Tommy was so unlucky last year and this year with the whole Baz oil crash that wrecked his shoulder and Hopper who is awesome!

Should be a good last few rounds

I'd like to see Hopper stay in WSBK ride there against Colin, Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies, a Troy Bayliss out from retirement, and Rossi.
Yeah, am in La-La Land.

i dont see cresent running in wsb next year i get the impression suzuki "placed" hopper in bsb to regain form and rebuild confidence,i see him in motogp next year on a second suzuki.
which brings me a question who if any are factory backed riders in lesser formulas?

The answer to the question is not Bomber Harris as many might have predicted (mostly cos he bounces).

Its Simon Andrews.

Excellent rider with a sodding target painted on his leathers.
