The Rapid Bathams Ducati rider was involved in a controversial collision with Josh Brookes, one that would put him out for the remainder of the weekend.

How come when Simoncelli takes other racers out, the world goes nuts but no-one seems too bothered with Brookes.

I defended him with the Guintoli incident and said it was a freak accident. Then there was Mallory Park with a hair brained over taking move. Now this....i've had enough of him and I think a lot of BSB fans have.

How often does it need to happen for it to stop being an innocent mistake and start becoming poor judgement or just plain stupidity? His excuse in the interview afterwards....'I had already tried a few times so he must have known I was coming through'....he was behind Rutter, had no right to try the move but when for it and injured yet another rider. Jog on Josh, jog on

@SuperSykes - I'm also a longterm BSB fan, but I though Brookes' pass on Michael Rutter was fine. At Cadwell, safe easy passes are all but impossible and Michael Rutter was holding up the traffic badly.

As Josh said, he'd shown him his nose a few times before and was level with Michael when he turned in on Josh. It's good to see a rider going for the place rather than settling. I say this as a fan of Michael Rutter, but a bigger fan of racing.

@ SuperSykes
I think you are following the wrong sport, maybe touch rugby or jogging is more your bag.
This is a tough sport, and Cadwell was crunch time for theseguys where moves like that had to be made. If you look at the video footage of the incident, they actually hit the apex side by side so it is a 50/50 at very worst. I am a Brookes fan, but i also like Rutter and was gutted he never got through to the championship shoot out. However it has to be said, that if that incident had happened at a similar corner at another track where there was enough run off, that Rutter wouldnt have went down. The main issue that people have is that Rutter was injured, which sucks... but this can happen in motorcycle racing. And the events of this weekend are a strong reminder of this.

Catch a grip Supersykes for goodness sake.

You do realise you are watching motorcycle RACING??

This is a big boys game and i feel for blade getting injured, but i think even he will put his hand up and admit he has pulled off some aggressive moves in the past.It was not a personal attack on him,but a pass that needed to be made and was marginal.

BSB needs riders of the calibre of Josh which will increase the overall competitiveness of the series bringing our young riders on+preparing them for World Championship racing..

I am beginning to hate how Bike fans are becoming more and more like F1 + Football fans..

Rutter has bigger balls than Brookes will ever have. I'd like to see Brookes at the TT, he'd probably do a couple of miles and run home his mum crying.

What makes the move worse is that Rutter had nowhere to go and could have easily skittled Byrne and Hickman
and ruined their seasons aswell.

At least when Simoncelli pulls a crazy move, it's at a track with plenty of run off.

There was no hint of an appology from Brookes after the race or on the grid the next day when he even acused Whitham of judging him after the incident!
