The three-time champion managed just a single sixth place finish in the second race, leaving 50 points off the lead.

Would not be deserved if he did win it, his been poor all year for some reason...

Not sure if he is there next year, the team have not sorted sponsors out yet from watching on Sunday...

The Kiyo we have seen in the last few races is not the one we are used to.

Think the fact that he is only in the shootout because Brookes took Rutter out says everything.

If Kiyo does not already have a contract in place with HM for next year he will be lucky to retain his ride with them because the team & their sponsors want wins.

He is placed there by Honda Japan but the links are eroding. Given his form this season I suspect his time with HM Plant is close to ending. He won the 8 hour again this year so there's still a racer in there somewhere but his head just isn't straight at all....sad to see.

If Kiyo did manage to win the title now it would be a joke because he wouldn't deserve it the way he has ridden this year. This new points system is rubbish. If they want to make the championship closer maybe they should change the points system so that the second placed rider gets one point less than the winner and third gets one point less than second and so on from the start of the season to the end of it.If the winner gets 15 points for a win then the 15th place rider gets 1 point. That would be better than a 6 rider showdown right at the end of the season.

Difficult to win now ?

F**k me this boy is sharp....

He's had massive difficulty in even getting into the top ten, let alone on the podium, and that's during the 'Do we need to bother ?' part of the season.

Now we are into the 'We need to bother a lot' part of the season, suddenly Kiyonari wakes up and realises that it's gonna be difficult ??

What a donut.

@ john

Any particular reason for your anger?

Kiyo is an enigma, who knows what has affected him so negatively this year. But we all know this isn't the Kiyo we've seen before. Having said that we all also know that he can come alive at any moment so Honda would want to be pretty sure his days as a force are over before dropping him.

The points ideally should be 20 for a win, 15,14,13,12,11,10 etc down to one. That way the winner is rewarded with a five point bonus, and it makes every other place worth fighting for. A format I am sure that would be embraced by fans, riders and team owners alike. Please please please MSVR at least put some serious thought and discussion into the format before it is ruined beyond repair.
