Dan Linfoot joins with Tyco Honda at Silverstone for his first BSB appearance since splitting with Sorrymate.com SMT Honda.

I've no quarel with Linfoot but this seems a slightly odd move for the team to make at this stage.

I'd have thought their priority was to throw all their resources behind Hickman who has been doing a pretty bang-up job for 'em all things considered.

They might as well have two riders up at the front and gain as much exposure for the sponsor as they have a spare bike and with the one bike rule Hickman can't use that. They're probably looking at Linfoot for next year aswell, so the last two rounds will be an extended test.

I really hope Dan goes well as he hasn't had a superbike to do his talent justice yet as both his best performances have been in the wet (Silvestone 2010 and Truxton 2011) which leveled the playing field and allowed him to run at the front.

There aren't too many young riders who've won at European Supertook 600 level or have GP experience and he deserves to have a decent ride.

After this year farcical management fiasco's within the BSB paddock we are pleased to announce that next years main sponsor of the BSB series will be a company called "Musical Chairs".
