I like this guy...for someone brand new to a series, he acknowledges all his key rivals, sincerely thanks his team for the help in set up of the bike and thanks the team doctor for his strategy in copeing with the problem finger.
....and he toots his own horn with a simple, i ran out of laps in race 2...
i've said this so many times here, this is a fantastic series...closer combat than motogp, historic venues, hugh national following, and riders worthy of my attention.
to think i clicked on hopkins name to see what he was up to, and it brought me to BSB. I'm hooked.

Hey guys sorry to be so late coming to the thread but hell i'm glad i did . Is this a first ? Everyone in agreement so far and i am going to join you . Damn what a great guy John Hopkins is . I admired him as a rider when he was in Moto GP but now i am able to admire him as a person . BSB has brought him closer to the race fans i think. What ever happens he has been a breath off fresh air.

Yep, breath of fresh air describes him well. Was at a pub in 07 after the Moto GP Donnington round. He and his crew were standing at the door of the pub, but the bouncers would not let he and his team in unless he removed his baseball cap. Didn't make a song and dance, just moved down the road to another pub.
Go Hopper.
