As a Shakey fan, I'm not realistically looking for the title, but I'd expect at least one win. The factor which is being overlooked is the role of the other team rider. Kiyo can give good support and is a team player whereas Michael Laverty can still win the title and John Kirkham will be further down the order. It's a rare day when Shakey doesn't push for the win at Brands.

BSB is without doubt my favorite racing series, but I hate this damn
Shootout system. Tommy hill should have won the title last year,
But he was robbed by this stupid system. Shakey should be in the
driving seat now but wait..... Let's just have a three round championship
and totally screw up all the hard work done in the earlier rounds.
Now I love the fastest lap system but this shootout has to go.

go do the math son and go research some facts.

Heres one for you Kiyonari would have one last year even under the old system.

Tommy crumbled under pressure when it mattered most.

I too was heartbroken to see him loose at the death after doing so well throughout the whole year.

But the truth remains the truth and facts are facts.

Kiyo won fair and square new system or not.

I there a mathematician in the house!?

Put to one side it would be best if Kiyo would hae 'won it both ways' last season,
if the shootout gives one result and normal standard accumulation gives a different one by my thinking the 'moral victory' goes to the guy with most points for straight forward race placement.

It looks more and more like vanity that keeps Palmer is so wedded to this widely hated shootout system.

Think you will find that going into the last race hill would have only had to finish in top 4 for last 3 races and that would have given him the title so wouldn't have gone out with all guns blazing at the last round. This shoot-out puts un necessary pressure in an all ready high pressure sport. Hill is leading the way this year if you use old points system and he has come from a long way back. if tommy or shakey don't win title then its a load of rubbish(I am British)
