David, go away, it made no difference.

And all the other what if's, what if it wasnt the scoring system shakey won, what if tommy wasnt taken out earlier in the year and missed races, what if hopper had not crashed and turned up a cadwell. what if what if....................... millions of variables

"I love how a motogp rider because he is so much faster could not win our national championship, hes that good lol "

gixxer, it's comments like yours (and the one after that) that sort of makes me a bit embarrassed to be British...

Hopper and Hill provided brilliant entertainment. Who did I (and many other Brits there today) want to win? Either because they gave a great show.

Your overly-patriotic rant does not represent the fans that were there today at Brands. They were rooting for both riders. Elated for Hill after his uphill struggle this year, gutted for Hopkins after his uphill struggle this year.

The fact that you mention London makes you a t***er to many of us Brits, London sucks! :-)

During the last showdown between Hopper and Hill, one of the reasons why Jack Burnicle and James Whitham are one of the best commentary teams!

Jack: It's that close, 16 points to 13.
James: The last of the mathematicians Jack!
Jack: I wish Miss Polly Ramsden would have realised that when I was 15 and she was clipping me round the ear!
James: She sounds nice Polly Ramsden, was she a looker?
Jack: No, no she was a hideous old bat!

LOLOLOLOLOL... we love you Jack and James!!!

Congratulations to Tommy Hill and nobody can say he hasn't paid his dues. 2011 has been the year for Superbike riders Tommy Hill and Carlos Checa who refuse to quit. Now that he's a World champion maybe Carlos can move up to the most action packed series on the planet, British Superbike!!!

That was one of the best races I have ever seen.So pleased Tommy won the title but would have been just as pleased to have seen Hopper win it,he's done a superb job coming over to race here in Britain and helped make this one of the best BSB seasons for years.Congratulations to Tommy Hill - 2011 BSB Champion.Well done to him.

as an American I was Gutted for Hopper but what a hell of a race. I do have to say that Hopper has brought interest from people like me into BSB. This year I was for the fist time waking up early on weekends just to stream the races on-line.. What a great series. Even without Hopper there I will continue to follow BSB from now on..
