Fantastic racing John & your result was as good as a win especially as you had to learn some circuits on the way. A brilliant effort by a brilliant racer.

He may not have won the title but as far as 2011 goes, mission accomplished. WSB or motogp for next year, either way hes turned his carreer around and deserves another shot on the world stage.

Heres hoping for a similar finale to next years championship!

as much as i was overjoyed and chuffed that hill won , i really felt for hooper as i feel he has been a true gent of the track, nothing but praise for his fellow racers and very humble

all the best wherever u go john, its a huge loss for the bsb fans that u wont be here next year but we've enjoyed having u around and we will all be following your progress and hopefully the rise back to the top on the world scene. cracking effort this year

Such a gr8 guy. Pure class, and there's something about him that just oozes emotion.

Will be nice to see him back on the international circuit.

Hi collected, patient rebuild of his career has been nothing short of inspirational.
Injured, struggling riders should take a page out of his book.

For me, I don't think this season will be remembered for who won so much has the quality of the racing and how it was conducted. For me Shakey, Hopper and Tommy are all pretty much winners (but for a bit of luck they could all have been champions) and raced hard on track and conducted themselves like gentlemen off it - brilliant!

I know our little Island is a bit chilly compared to California John but I think I speak for most of us you're WELCOME ANYTIME!!!!! Back from the brink doesn't quite sum up the awesome season you had. Good luck for next year and you might just have a few hundred thousand more true fans, to take around the world with you!!!!! Keep smiling.

Hopper was man of the season in my book and for a whole load of reasons! You can't take a single thing away from Tommy however... finally a well deserved and mature title win. Hats off to the pair of them for giving me a brand new entry to my top three best ever races :)
