He certainly has the talent and deserves a top ride. I expect he'd prefer to focus on world level racing if he can but a ride with HM or Swan would be difficult to turn down. Don't forget Ellison would have been a serious BSB title contender last year if it wasn't for the crash - you don't lose that talent over night.

If he can ride a Superbike like that, why the hell is he pratting about on a supersport bike. Its just like Shakey finishing in BSB this season and going to ride as No 2 to Seeley in world superspot.

And that ain't going to happen.

What a good ride at Brands, but what a waist of a season.

Agreed, James is a very good rider, you don't get to MotoGP and you don't finish 2nd in BSB if you're not.

BUT, he is a Superbike rider, not a 600 rider. Get back on a big bike James!!

Ellison was runner up in BSB in 2009 with a 2 year deal with was renaiged on.
he was left without a ride and went back to swan. where he was battling with tommy hill for the championship. his off on oil caused huge injuries but he came back to win the riders cup. so that was still another title of sorts in 2010. then in 2011 he was offered a supersport ride on a no podium no wages basis. The podiums never came at first (not through lavk of trying) James was drafted in to ridethe smt (bsb) bike and he helped develop it, . He has met a lot of Good people who have helped him through the years and he has won many championships but seems always to get overlooked for WSBk As For Motogp he did 21/2 seasons there but was always Racing in a 'Test' situation, one for WCM/Blata and Dunlop test tyres for Tech 3. Toseland Crutchlow did not race in a test situation. Their tyres were GP tyes..... Last but not least the poor sod is driving all over Europe to compete He is now on his way to Port

Well done indeed James, always liked him as a rider, he's usually fast but never dirty - which perhaps explains his lack of quality rides. The ruthless streak some display isn't in James, and yet Shakey is much the same and wins. Perhaps the HM Plant ride would be a good move, two really quick riders who have some manners but I really don't understand why Kyo was 'dropped' (another quick rider with manners) it seems just because he had a bad season. Fingers crossed for James.
