John Hopkins is recovering after undergoing surgery on his injured hand once again, the American having contracted a serious infection.

You need to give it a rest Johnno!!!

Better a good bit of time out and a proper return next year than being all messed up with a possible amputation.

We hope to see you in full flight next year!!!!!

This is terrible!

I really feel sorry for him as he's had such a great year and this injury shouldn't have taken more than 3 weeks of giving him problems. I hope it all gets better.

You could see he was nearly in tears from the pain from the finger after some BSB races.

Amazing to think he still would have won the championship apart from an electrical fault at Brands.

He's a racer, he'll work it out in the end. As far as I can see the most important thing is mental strength and attitude and Hopper seems to have that in spades. He won't let a silly thing like a finger get in the way of his progress.
