What a load of rubbish, did we have an american invasion on crash!!!!

Tommy first as he Won the Championship, this guy should be 3rd as Shakey also beat him on points over the whole year.

well deserved. tommy hill did a brilliant job, but you can't take anything away from john hopkins. he jumped onto a bike he'd never ridden before, and came second in an extremely competitive championship. brilliant rider, and i'm hoping for the best in wsbk next season, though i would love to see tommy up in the world stage aswell.

American type voting that got us DUBBYA - 'hanging chads and fraud'

Still I would imagine that TH is less miffed loosing this one closely than the real championship.

Still good luck to both next season in their new championships.

Top Man - to come from the relatively safety of MotoGP tracks and learn and compete well at tracks like Cadwell, Knock Hill, Oulton Park, etc he makes the No 1 spot for me!

Hopper, Shakey or Tommy would have all been OK as number 1 for me. They all provided us with some great racing and a brilliant season and futhermore seemed like top blokes and took it on the chin when things weren't going right. Roll on 2012!

well deserved!! For Hopper to achieve what he did with an injury that clearly affected the way he rides and lose the championship on the last corner when he had bad luck with technical issues the race before is what makes him the top bsb rider of the year. Hopper has natural talent to do well! Very rare to find!

Well done John, you deserve it! Tommy Hill had a great season, but you won on tracks you'd never seen and were consistant despite the hand injury. You struggles to get fit since the end of the season show how bad your hand must have been during those last races. Cheers!!!!

I would be good either way, if Tommy or Hopper took first in this very "subjective" poll or in the actual season. I was very split on who I really wanted to win the championship because I highly rate both Hopper and Hill. I think that Hopper won the poll because he was new to everything, eg Tyres, team, tracks and BSB (I didn't say bike because he rode a suzuki in AMA). And not to take anything from Tommy but based soley on the shootout, Tommy won because of Hoppers mechanical issue in race 1. Again I rate Tommy highly and he too was injured in the season and came back like a champ. Hooper just did it during a time that was more critical and still hung it on the line so with all that I believe he deserved the No # 1 for this pole.
