True, he may look as though he's past his prime, but he pulls in the sponsors through experience and entertainment, much like Rutter et-al.

You gotta feel it for him, he's done all the hard work of bike development, got sponsors and money involved, and the team bins him for a younger crew thinking they're up and coming.

Me thinks Pr1mo will find themselves at the back of the grid mid-season when there's no "old" experience to develop the bike further.

Retire ?

And why exactly ?

Do explain why someone who still beats every team mate he's been up against should retire ?

Time to get a ride and kick some but Stalker !

If your story is accurate, I find it pathetic that the team principal is not professional - or polite - enough to contact a rider who did well for the team last year and apologise for dumping him without notice.
You're better off out of that team Chris!

Cards on the table.

I am a Chris Walker fan, and the way he has been treated by the team is at best poor and disrespectful.

I do not think he should retire as he is still quick enough to be competitive, not to mention he is a crowd favourite.

I really hope he puts a programme together and stuffs PR1MO.

CW appears to have been shafted...nice, but theses days contracts seem to be worth little and hand shakes nothing!

MSS would be a nice little place for him to go with his experience and developmental ability along with a young rider with some supersport/superstock 1000 experience. Is Ben Wilson still all signed up (not just a hand shake..) with the same team for Supersport next year?...

Good luck Chris!

Well after all the hard work CW has done for the team . you think they could told him 1st , and not make CW fan feel bitter how hes been treated , MSS get him signed with a younger rider , what a mentor he can be

Looks like Primo are well-staffed in the dirty tricks department. Stalker was the team's major assett and they will be poorer without him. Now only Rutter is left on the grid from the great racing battles of Walker, Hodgson, Hislop, Reynolds, Plater. Unless, of course, Walker magics another ride for 2012.
