Sounds like this team is an absolute joke, First they dump chris walker and hire somebody else. Then their boss gets arrested for being a crackhead dealer, then chris walker is back in and the other dude is out of a job, now this...

Regardless of the reasons, that was a very professional response from Josh Elliott so I wish him every success with landing a new ride and for the season ahead.

If a ride is going to fail (presumably for sponsorship reasons) better for it to happen before the season starts so that hopefully he can secure another ride.

Sorry for Josh but its also a great pity Kyle Ryde hasn't been propelled into the Spanish championships on a Moto3 bike or at least a championship where his talent/experience could be developed toward a GP career.....defending his 125 championship here is just treading water in an undervalued class (in this country at least). His family try so hard to help him progress but as always it comes down to money, or the lack of it.

tough luck on elliot,(some say hes the biggest talent to come out of ireland),but after floating about europe a while ,he needs a decent ride in a bsb class, with an experienced stable team, hope he gets a berth somewhere, that would settle him,and develop him

My son - Kyle WILKS is riding Stock 600 for this team and it would appear that everyone has assumed that there is only one rider called Kyle so poor Kyle Ryde has been drawn into the discussion too! Yes, he had a problem with a sponsor - BUT it was never THIS team. Your article has many assumptions which reflect on the team as a whole who are trying to pick up the pieces after being let down by ONE team member. He has gone, give the rest a chance and if you want a clearer picture, go to our website www.wilksracing.co.uk

Thanks for the clarification Claire, your indignance under the circumstances is quite understandable!

It did seem odd that Kyle Ryde had seemingly ended up here, someone at Crash really needs to get their facts straight before publishing!

And best of luck to YOUR son Kyle for a successful season!

mrs wilks.i am aware that your son is riding stk 600 for this team.my comments were based on a conversation i had with a bsb rider today who informed me of the ryde/primo rumour re sponsorship.i can inform you that the team were not let down by a team member.he was the team owner.primo are just a title sponsor and nothing else.whilst i respect pete extance and bournmouth kawasaki crew.i beleive even they may regret the tie up with pr1mo.best of luck for your boy this year. taz

Thanks pp916. Your response was very measured but some people believe everything they read and get very opinionated! Only those involved know what's really going on so it's better to check out the riders personal websites before making rash judgements. Kyle is nearly 18 and is very excited at this amazing opportunity so it has been very frustrating reading all the write-ups over the past few months. With modern technology people assume they know everything, as it happens, it's very rarely the case.

Taz, thanks for your response - you misunderstand me. The team member I was referring to is currently on remand and if THAT isn't classed as letting your team down, I don't know what is!?!?! I don't want to get involved in mud slinging but will say that people should give Pr1mo a chance. All the controversy was stirred up by one man who is now not in a position to comment, the Pr1mo Bournemouth team is united and HAD to re-group. It's a shame team ownership was split in the first place but that's how it was, let's look forward to the 2012 season with an open mind :-)
