'We have a few things to get dialled out with the Swan Yamaha on Good Friday in the extra test sessions but we are going to come out fighting in the races' - Tommy Hill

A full grid of high class riders on evenly matched machines riding on the short Brands circuit - not for the faint hearted! For what it's worth, I reckon the danger man is Michael Laverty but also hoping for some great results from Alex Lowes and Shakey. I'm interested to see what Scott Smart can do on the Panigale.

looks like it will be ultra competitive this year, the fast guys will still be fast, but with many unknowns to come, esp tyres late in the race,tc saved them a fair bit,not looking forward to some of the big highsides that might return, catchin guys out,esp the guys that depended heavily on electrics, but cant wait to see how things pan out,tho brands short track is more of a proper shakedown with points added

In what is becoming a characteristic feature of Hill's off-bike persona, his whinge about foreign riders in BSB during his phone interview with Tony Carter on the Eurosport WSBK coverage made me dislike him even more (which I didn't think could be possible after his recent sidecar rants and spitting his dummy out about John Kirkham at last season's final round.)

I'm not a huge Haga fan, but I really hope he stuffs it right up Hill this season, and the rest of the grid does for that matter.

Think you took it out of context. Hill was right to be upset with kirkham last year. Water under bridge now though. Here we go with slagging riders off and making mountains of mole hills. Jokers!%! Ha

As I said water under the bridge. Things are said in the heat of the moment. Just people like you that make issues 6 months down the line. Watched interview back from eurosport and there was no moaning just a guy saying what he thinks. I respect hill. Everything he does is face value. No back stabbing. Laverty didn't try and knock anyone off for team mate. Will be strong year in bsb and would be nice if we had a year with no snide comments about ANY riders and just enjoy the sport. Laverty is a strong favourite me thinks but don't mean anything.till last 3 rounds.

You cant see Hill finishing in the top 6??? Last year was a TOTAL fluke then was it? And dont just try and put it all down to the bike, Hill wasn't the only one with a good bike last year. Thats like saying this year there are 6 riders better than him but last year there wasn't, even though some of the main title contenders will undoubtebly be riders who were in the championship last year too. And if you listened to what he said in his interview he said he didnt want young up-coming British racers to miss out on places in our top championship because of riders of other nationalaties taking the places. I will be happy to see the likes of Nori ripping round our circuits, but at the same time dont want our own young talent to miss out because of big name riders who cant get a ride on the world stage riding in a British championship. I would prefer it if BSB didnt end up like the so called English premier league with top teams fielding more foreign players than English ones, and then calli

Hill not finsihing in the top 6 ????
The man is the bsb champion - everybody had highs and lows last year hill at oulton, hopper at brands but the best man won it. He might come across as he loves himself but most of it comes down to being media savvy! he plays the media well and makes it interesting! Lets face it there are enough people commenting on him. Good Luck Tommy show the knockers that you are a worthy champion and good luck to the rest of the BSB paddock !!!

Well said BHP, season hasn't even started yet and people are slagging a rider off. You'd have thought with all the tragedy that went with last season people might tone their comments down but no, well done Richard, you've started the ball rolling before a wheel has been turned on the track, you must be so proud.
I've had a Tommy banner made and will be picking it up tomorrow which will sit alongside my Nori one at the track, both are 10ft by 3ft. I'll be supporting both of them equally...i think this year is going to be a mixture of stress and celebration for me...and my poor missus lol.
BTW who are the big Laverty fans here? I've got 2 of his sliders from testing, going to get them both signed this weekend but only really need one of em. I know Meg is and i think pp916 or maybe KTMKen is...either way, if i know you on here then give me a shout if you'd like one of em free of charge, if it's more than one of you then i'll draw straws lol

Oh and heard Tommy's comments on Eurosport and he was saying about foreign riders but then also went on to say how the exposure could be helpful, so on one side it might not be giving young brit riders a chance but on the other side the extra exposure was good for the championship as a whole.
Either way, when it came to this ride, if Hutchy hadn't of gotten injured then he'd have the ride and the person Nori took the ride from was Westy in the end and given the choice between Nori and Westy i know who i'd rather see running around the track
