BSB » Former BSB champion Kiyonari starts new era in Asia

Kiyo just seems to be too much of a gamble these days, cant bet on his head being right when the slightest setback has him qualifying down the grid.still deserves better than soem series noone outside of asia has heard of.

I've got nothing against Kiyo, and all the best to him. But with the opportunities and machinery that he had at his disposal, you've got to think that he's blown it. Damn straight I'd take his job tomorrow, but from the armchair here, he really should've done better. I honestly thought he was being groomed as a MotoGP star, as a kind of trial by Honda to see how riders would progress coming up the Superbikes path, rather than gp 125/250/Moto2 etc.
As I said, no harm to the lad. A couple of British titles is a legacy of sorts.

Such a shame to see him leave bsb, Should of had 4 titles if it wasn't for that crash in 05. Can remember at the 2nd race at brands hatch indy 06, when he choose the right tyre and blitzed the whole field, Nearly a whole lap in front of everyone and still going down paddock hill sideways. Or the wsbk races at brands hatch and donnington. Juat remember before you slate him HE BEAT BAYLISS AND HAGA AT BRANDS IN THE DRY. Good luck No1 Dragon

BSB was lucky to have Kiyo participating, I don't think we've had a more talented rider.

Nor one more enigmatic for either.

Perhaps he wants to be based closer to Japan for his family?

I wish him well whatever.
