wow good news indeed, and surprising too!
im sure theyll put up a good show , but even the World endurance teams find it tough to compete against the Japanese domestic teams.

P.s i hope Jonathan Rea gets another ride at Suzuka, i remember he got a 3rd place the last time he raced :)

when the race day comes have a look around on some sites through google, or look on
I think the whole race from 2011 is on youtube.
what a amazing race last year it came down to the last few laps Kagiyama (Yoshimura Suzuki) vs Kiyonari (FCC TSR Honda) with the latter winning out.
Such a shame Kiyo is being put to the pastures on some unknown Asian championship when hes definitely world class....anyways this years 8 hour should be great!

I have always been puzzled by the way this race is handled by the Media . It seems to be such a major race to the manufacturers well the Japanese anyway yet i have never seen footage on TV. I would certainly create the time slot to watch it wether full race or selective cover. I am surprised i have never seen it on Eurosport.

@oh dear

3 time BSB Champion (2006,2007,2010), 4 time Suzuka 8 Hour Champion (2005,2008,2010,2011) add the fact he is a former All-Japan Superbike champion, 3 wins in WSBK beating both Haga and Bayliss in their prime...i think you could say hes a champion in his own right. Is he world class? well let me say half the current grid in WSBK would struggle to match a CV as the one above..
