You serious!

The team had the new engine in ready for race two. Are you suggesting that Mark goes out on an engine (under full race conditions) before it has been run. We have seen teams rush to get a new engine in quickly and get the bike out, just to see their replacement engine blow. Good on them I say for having the nerve to think of other riders on the track and not just getting out there.

I think people need to think a bit more before commenting on post that makes them sound daft.

Andy are you serious any good team would have their new spare engine dyno run in and checked for hp , so thinking about the other riders bs , don't forget their sponsor commitments , they should have at lest pulled a motor from a road bike to give mark some additional track time and the sponsors / fans that came to support mark some value , DNS x 2 WTF

@andy

You obviously have no clue! Teams do this all the time, an engine change doesn't mean its gonna blow!!! And as Sandy said, all tried and tested before the event, deeeer!

Sorry to disappoint , but the engine had not even been started let alone run on the Dyno, and was fully rebuilt,
So good call not to risk engine damage and injury to other riders
