Well Done Catherine!

I can remember in 1996 Sandra Barnett winning a 600cc club race at Mallory Park beating a load of blokes, it shows that ladies can mix it! Sandra was flying that day, I'll never forget that.

I think the major factor in women not QUITE competing at the same level as men MIGHT have to do with the age they develop an interest in racing. Now, PLEASE CORRECT ME AS I AM ONLY TYPING THIS AS I THINK IT, but as young boys we seem to immediately have a love for most things with an engine (Those who are that way inclined, there are guys too who could care less about motorsport or sport in general) and we tend to be watching F1, MotoGP and Superbikes with our dads, while moms (Again a generalisation) go on about how they can't se ethe point etc..

My point is, strength can't be that much of an issue (If you look at the size of Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Stoner). I think if we get MORE GIRLS ON BIKES AT A YOUNGER AGE, then we will see some girls REALLY take it to the guys...

We unfortunately don't get coverage of the BSB series in South Africa as I would love to follow the series more closely. I would love to go watch at the Mountain!!!

Although I only saw it on T.V. It was a brilliant piece of history unfolding right in front of you.

She didn't just win she demolished the opposition and it's a shame it wasn't reported on crash on Monday as it is truly an historical moment.

I hope this victory can inspire girls to get more involved in Motorbike racing, it doesn't have to be a men's sport and as Cat proved the women can make the boys, well... look like boys.

I wonder if Jenny & Caterine raced who'd win???...

Much respect to both xx

Doubt peeping Tom would ask either of them to close the curtains!

Nick:
Having seen both race for years, no doubt in my mind that Cat is more of a racer. I know Jenny has set records in the TT but its so sad watching her tootle round at the back of the grid way off the pace. Bet Quay Garage are p---ed off that she took there place!!
I do wish her luck and always hope she can be more competitive!
